About the Editor

Nikolas Syrgianis is a Greek musician, rooted in the modal tradition of Greek music, and a researcher of the Western esoteric and divinatory traditions. He is the editor and creator of this edition.

His work here proceeds from a single principle: that an ancient oracle is a text with a provenance, to be recovered and presented faithfully — not a vessel for invention. Each of the four systems is transcribed from a public-domain critical edition, sealed against alteration, and shown with its editorial status open to view, including, and especially, where the manuscript is damaged or lost.

The Adyton is offered freely, as a reference edition and a contribution to the record.
